The third stage of the Road of Chianti Radda, as well as the seat of the Consorzio del Chianti (it was founded in 1924 and is the oldest in Italy, its symbol is a black cock), the village has a beautiful medieval town which can be discovered with a walk. Not far from Radda is Gaiole that, after having been in the past an important commercial center, is today a paradise for lovers of wine and farms. Nearby, in addition, there are several fortified dwellings as the parish church of Spaltenna, which houses a precious wooden crucifix dating from 1400 or Brolio Castle, residence since the twelfth century of the Ricasoli family, which still produces excellent Chianti Classico.
