A long and joyful Christmas weekend in Greve in Chianti - 27/11/2009
Greve in Chianti is really a good starting point for your Christmas journey, in fact there are a lot of cultural events that are going to take place for the holidays.
But if you prefer earthlier things, tastings of Chianti wine and typical food, certainly Greve is the right place to stay.
You can start from Panzano in Chianti where on Tuesday  8th of December the philarmonic orchestra "Giuseppe Verdi" will celebrate S. Cecilia with a concert in the morning.
You will find the  typical Christmas market in Montefioralle, the ideal frame for your Christmas shopping. To get to the old medieval town there will be a free bus in the main square of Greve in Chianti. In the afternoon a photo exhibition is going to be opened in the Fiorino Palace.
On Saturday 12th of December, Strada in Chianti organizes some particular events, starting from the Christmas market in the morning (from 10am) up to a beautiful Nativity Scenes exhibition in Piazza Landi from 11.00 am.
And for the kids?...Santa is coming in the afternoon to know which presents they would like for Christmas day! From 4pm in the main square Santa Claus and his Helpers will hear your kids Christmas wishes.
In the afternoon Greve in Chianti organizes tastings of Chianti wine in the Museum of San Francesco for the event "Il vino al museo".
